2000 to 2012 sales of guns fluctuated wildly. By 2001 sales had dropped €330m from a figure €450m just one year earlier. 2001 and 2002 sales recovered but then fell sharply until mid 2004 hitting €100m. The recovery was slow at first rising about €120m in 2006, then sales really took going €400m in 2007 before dropping back again €150m, €450m in late 2008 €300m in late 2010. Sales again rose steadily the next 6 years but in November 2015 they plunged, hitting an all-time-low €50m in mid 2016. This trough did not last and sales soared a peak €710m at the start of 2019. Since then there has been a downturn once more.
